Dive With Us
Boat Dives
We are based in South West Rocks, NSW, giving us direct access to Fish Rock Cave, Fish Rock Island, the Cove, and other world-class dive sites along the Mid North Coast.
Fish Rock sits on the edge of the East Australian Current, which brings dramatic seasonal changes in marine life. This means every dive is different — from tropical visitors in autumn, to shark-filled summers, to whales and aggregating grey nurse sharks in winter, and most of the year in lesser numbers.
All year round!
March–May: Warm waters with leopard sharks and the occasional manta ray.
Spring to Summer: Peak Shark Season — spinner sharks, bull sharks, hammerheads, Galapagos, grey nurse, school sharks, whalers and sometimes even great whites.
Late Sept–Feb: Best time to see schooling hammerhead sharks.
Winter: Hundreds of grey nurse sharks and migrating humpback whales.

You will learn about why shark populations are declining, and why that is bad, the value of sharks in marine ecosystems; how you can take action, and how you can become a passionate and knowledgeable defender of the sharks. This course will also teach you about shark behaviour, appropriate shark diving techniques, as well as how to identify shark gender and behaviour. We will then take you out to dive with the beautiful Grey Nurse Sharks and wobbegongs at Fish Rock, and put your new knowledge into practice.
Generally, the course can be conducted over 1 day with prior completion of the AWARE Shark Conservation manual.
